Giant luxury labels like LVMH, Dior, and Givenchy, as well as beauty brands like Estée Lauder and L’Oreal, have announced they will be working diligently to produce hand sanitizer. Donatella Versace and daughter Allegra made an over $222k donation to hospitals in Italy. Rhianna donated a whopping $5 million to coronavirus relief which will be distributed through her nonprofit organization, the Clara Lionel Foundation. As PPE (personal protected equipment) continues to become scarce around the world because of the spread of COVID-19, many fashion designers have united forces to create masks and gowns to fight back. Bigger designers, like Christian Siriano, were given permission to reopen their ateliers, while smaller designers are creating makeshift workspaces at home.
