SHE Magazine USA: As a Palestinian-American artist, how has your heritage shaped your identity, your creative expression, and the message you want to share with the world?
Inas X: My heritage isn’t a talking point for me, it’s my root system. Being from Brooklyn, New York and having a Palestinian background taught me that identity can hold more than one truth at once. That’s exactly the message underneath everything I’m doing. That pride in where I come from, fused with the freedom to become whoever I’m truly meant to be. I want people to see that you don’t have to shrink one part of yourself to make room for another.
SHE Magazine USA: Your career has evolved across music, modeling, entrepreneurship, and digital influence. What has that evolution taught you about owning your power and refusing to be confined to one identity?
Inas X: Every lane taught me something the others couldn’t. Modeling taught me presence. Business taught me ownership. Music is where I say the things I can’t say any other way. People love to ask, “But what are you really?” I stopped answering that question a long time ago. Lovergirl is proof that a woman can be soft and strategic, glamorous and grounded, all in the same breath. It’s about owning every side of yourself unapologetically, and the power that comes with that is authentic and beautiful.
SHE Magazine USA: “Love Is” reached the Billboard Dance Club Songs chart, while “Stupid” introduced another unforgettable chapter. Which moment made you realize your dreams were becoming your reality?
Inas X: Charting on Billboard with “Love Is” was the moment I stopped waiting for permission and realized I had a place to stay. The vision became real, and the work became real. I wasn’t chasing something anymore—I was living inside it. Being and becoming who I was always meant to be has been the best part. There have been so many moments and rebirths that have reminded me the true beauty has always been in the journey.
SHE Magazine USA: What do you believe people connect with most deeply when they encounter Inas X?
Inas X: Honesty, before anything else. I just want people to know who I am—the person who’s actually living the confidence, not just performing it. The person who turns pain into power and represents resilience, and the freedom that comes with that. By being authentically myself, I hope to inspire others to discover who they really are. I want people to feel alive and to take up space without ever apologizing for it.
SHE Magazine USA: What’s the next chapter of the Inas X story, and what legacy do you hope to create?
Inas X: Certified Lovergirl is the fullest version of the world I’ve built so far. But the legacy I want goes far beyond the music. I want Lovergirls—my community—to feel like softness and power were never opposites. That’s the story I want to leave behind.
